Free entry and workshops for children at the History Museum of Sofia

The History Museum of Sofia

Free entry and talks for children and adults will be organized on April 3 at the History Museum of Sofia. The occasion is 137 years since the city was chosen as the capital.

In a free workshop, children will learn interesting moments from the history of Sofia, find out when and how the city was chosen as the capital, and make cards with the coat of arms.

Visitors to the museum will be able to see a map from the time when the city became the capital, as well as the original first coat of arms of Sofia. It was made by the artist Haralampi Tachev, on the occasion of the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900. What is interesting about the crown is that only city coats of arms are allowed to have such a rampart crown.

From April 3rd, every Sunday in the museum, as well as in some of its affiliates, there will be permanent free talks.
